And this world that we are inside

Which seems so huge in the beginning
처음에만 해도 너무나 거대해 보였고
And so infinitely welcoming
한없이 환대하는 것 같았기에
Has become very uncomfortable
그것이 매우 불편하기도 했죠
And we are obliged to be born
그리고, 우리는 태어날 의무를 지녔습니다.
And my father says that
내 아버지께서 말하시길
birth is so chaotic and violent
탄생이란 실로 혼란스러우며 폭력적이며
That he’s sure that the moment of birth, we’re all thinking
그로인해 확신하게 된 것이 있다고 하셨어요. 태어나는 순간에, 우리 모두 이런 생각을 하고 있으리라고요.
“This is it. This is death. This is the end of my life.”
“바로 이것이다. 태어나는 것은 죽는 것이다. 이는 내 삶의 끝자락이다.”
And then we’re born and it’s a surprise
우리는 그러고서 태어난 것이며, 이는 놀라운 일이에요.
Cause its just the beginning
